    Description

    The Castelli Heritage Maglia Nera harks back to the history of the Giro d'Italia in design and materials while providing modern comfort and performance.

    Not seen at the Giro d'Italia for nearly 70 years the Maglia Nera was awarded to the Grand Tour's last-place finisher between 1946 and 1951. Like the Tour de France's Lantern Rouge it was a prestigious honour signifying the fight to the finish and the glory of finally reaching the end of three weeks' hard riding.

    Castelli is celebrating this historic jersey with a lesson in indulgence and comfort. The Heritage Maglia Nera uses an Italian-made 50/50 wool/polyester blend that's sumptuously soft against the skin. It also gives that classic wool look but has fantastic moisture management thanks to the inclusion of modern polyester fabric.

    The two-tone Giro d'Italia logo across the chest is flocked to a super smooth finish while the Castelli and Prodotto Ufficiale logos are woven and stitched in place. Finally there's a gold-tone metallic zipper in the shape of the Trofeo Senza Fine to finish off this beautiful but practical piece.

    The Castelli Heritage Maglia Nera Jersey sits alongside the Prosecco Jersey in Castelli's Giro 103 collection with both jerseys sharing the same indulgent fabrics and retro-inspired design.
