Since 2018, The Palta has carved its own path. While the industry developed gravle bikes for specific niches, Basso stayed true to a specific vision: Uncompromising verstatility. The Palta III is the total evolution of that essence. They've pushed every boundary, increasing lateral stiffness for explosive power, sharpening the aerodynamics for maximum efficiency against the wind and deepening hte compliance to smooth out the harshest gravel trails.
Frame Features:
As with all Basso frames and forks, the Palta is handmade in Italy, and Basso were among the first to use carbon in its frames, researching new methods and techniques to continually improve performance, reliability and durability. The beauty of such technology is that the fantastic ride quality that derives from such engineering is permanent, making a Basso frame perform equally after several seasons use as it did on the first day.
Palta III features an internal downtube storage system designed to hourse your essentials in two dedicated bags, all secured by a colour-matched carbon cover and a Fidlock magnetic locking system. To ensure your frame is as resilient as your spirt, we've collaborated with Vibram to develop a custom bash guard for maximum protection against rock strikes.
Technology
Microtech Solid Oil Bearings: These innovative headeset bearings use solid oil lubrication offering three times the durability of traditional bearings.
UDH Ready: The Palta III adopts the Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH standard), ensuring full compatibility with the latest full-mount derailleurs.
3B Clamp System Gen 2: A totally hidden seatpost fixing solution that is invisible on the frame, intertwining technological and aesthetic innovation. This lightweight and strong integrated clamping solution offers the additional benefit of an anti-vibration function, further improving your riding experience by elevating comfort on uneven and bumpy surfaces.
Less Tools: Basso have reduced the number of tools you need to carry with you on a ride. The Palta's innovative Thru-Axles contain a 6mm Hex, 3mm hex and T25 key.
Strato Stem and Carbon Gravel Handlebar: If you are looking for ultimate comfort or you like to get very technical withyour gravel, the new Strato stem and Carbon gravel handlebar is for you. A new stem clamping system, a -8 deg stem angle and six sizes available
Frame Specs:
Every bike purchased from On It Sports is built in-store by our experienced team and undergoes a full pre-delivery inspection (PDI) before being carefully prepared for shipping.
We take pride in ensuring each bike leaves our workshop properly assembled, checked, and ready for final setup, helping you enjoy a smooth and confident first ride.
Some final assembly will be required on delivery, but we aim to keep this to a minimum wherever possible.
*Bikes purchased through Cycle to Work schemes are excluded from free shipping.
